History of NEFAD
The Northeast Florida Association for the Deaf, Inc. (NEFAD) was officially established in 2008.

Among the things that NEFAD has to offer, it also acts in the best interests of the Deaf community by offering
workshops of interest, entertaintment events, hosting fundraisers, and sponsoring athletic events.
These are NEFAD's goals:
-To promote social, cultural, and athletic activities among Deaf individuals.
-To promote civic and educational programs on behalf of Deaf individuals.
-To provide appropriate referral services for Deaf individuals in the Northeast Florida area.
-To promote Deaf athletic competitions on local, statewide, regional, national, and internationals levels.
